A few weeks back, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 17 smartphone in both 4G and 5G connectivity options in the global markets. Well, as per the latest details shared by the brand via a dedicated microsite, it is now planning to launch the Redmi 17 5G smartphone in the Indian market.

Here is what has been revealed.

Redmi 17 5G – India Launch Date and Key Specifications

According to the microsite hosted on Amazon India, the Redmi 17 5G smartphone will break its cover in India on September 3rd, 2026.

Coming to its specifications, the upcoming device is confirmed to pack a large 7,900mAh battery and support 45W fast charging. The charger will also be included in the box. Moreover, the smartphone will offer 22.5W reverse wired charging support.

On the performance side, the Redmi 17 5G will come equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, and this will be the second device after the Poco M8x 5G to launch in India with it.

For photography, the upcoming smartphone will feature a 50MP AI rear camera housed within the brand’s all-new Astral Camera Deco. The device is also revealed to feature a flat-frame design and a punch-hole display.

The Redmi 17 5G will be offered in Eternal Orange, Absolute Black, and Endless Blue colour options. Among these, the Eternal Orange variant features a textured, leather-like finish on the rear panel.

Looking at the details shared by the brand, the Indian variant appears to be similar to the global model. However, it is teased to come with a slightly larger 7,900mAh battery compared to the 7,500mAh battery offered with the global variant.

More details concerning the upcoming smartphone will be revealed soon, as the microsite further mentions August 29th, August 31st, and September 2nd as part of its specification reveal schedule.
