Last year, RedMagic introduced its RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro in June in the Chinese market, and then one month later, this tablet was launched as RedMagic Astra in global markets.
This year, the company seems to continue with the same pattern. Recently, the company announced that the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will be unveiled in China on 30th June, and since then, the brand has been teasing new details related to the upcoming tablet.
Two days back, RedMagic confirmed that the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will be arriving as RedMagic Astra 2 globally.

RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro: Features revealed
The tablet will arrive in two colour options: Deuterium Edge Transparent Silver Wing and Deuterium Edge Transparent Dark Night. The device boasts a transparent water cooling design in the rear panel, along with RGB water cooling lighting effects. It features a self-developed piezoelectric micropump that has 8mW ultra-low power consumption, 100kPa ultra-high output pressure, and is 0.48mm ultra-thin.
The Magic Cooling architecture includes Super large VC, Pulsation water-cooled engine and Liquid Metal 3.0. The tablet features a 9.06” OLED X10 Luminescent material display that offers 90.1% screen to body ratio, 16:10 golden aspect ratio, 1600 nits peak brightness, HDR10 support, 1ms swift response, 185Hz ultra-high refresh rate and 2.4K resolution. The display comes with Star Shield Eye Protection Technology 2.0.
The tablet is equipped with a Synaptics S3930 touch chip, which delivers 2000Hz instant tick rate, 300Hz multi-finger native touch sampling rate, 10x super resolution touch and wet hand touch support. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with a 4.6GHz CPU clock speed.
It is equipped with a self-developed RedCore R4 chip. Upgraded with RedMagic CUBE Gaming Engine 3.0, featuring 2K 144Hz super-resolution and super-frame concurrency. With the help of a new PC Emulator, users can enjoy AAA games.
It supports Steam Direct mode, official game cross-platform compatibility and game save data compatibility, plug and play handle feature, direct connection of keyboard and mouse and display projection. It is backed by an 8300 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging. The tablet features dual Type-C ports that support 80W charging.
