Poco Hong Kong teases the launch of a new smartphone, likely the Poco F8 Ultra
The Poco F8 Ultra has been making headlines for quite some time, with rumours suggesting that its official launch could happen very soon. Now, Poco Hong Kong has added more fuel to the speculation with a new post on its official Instagram handle.
In the post, a sketch of a smartphone’s back panel can be seen, showcasing a prominent camera island. The caption reads:
“Recently, several mobile phone backs have shown some new creativity. If you are a POCO mobile phone engineer, what else would you put on the back besides the camera? Like, post, and comment — I’ll choose the three most creative answers to win a Xiaomi SU7 1:18 alloy model car! *Winners will be announced on November 15th. Winners must provide a receiving address in Hong Kong.”

The camera design shown in the sketch looks strikingly similar to the Redmi K90 series, which recently debuted in China. Although the post doesn’t explicitly mention the model name, the wording and design hint that it could very well be teasing the upcoming Poco F8 Ultra.
If the rumours are true, the Poco F8 Ultra is expected to share the same specifications as the Redmi K90 Pro Max. That could mean we’ll see a design featuring a speaker grille and “Sound by Bose” branding next to the camera module.
Looking at past sightings, the Poco F8 Ultra with model number “25102PCBEG” was previously spotted on the NBTC certification website. Interestingly, this model number closely resembles that of the Redmi K90 Pro Max (“25102RKBEC”), further reinforcing the rebranding theory.
Additionally, tipster Gadgetsdata on X (formerly Twitter) has shared that the Poco F8 Ultra is likely to launch in India too. Since the previous Poco F7 Ultra came with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it’s expected that the new F8 Ultra will come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the same one used in the Redmi K90 Pro Max.
