Following the launch of the OPPO A7 Pro Max, OPPO has now launched the OPPO A7 Pro 5G smartphone in its home market, China. The newly launched device comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, an 8,000mAh battery, multiple IP ratings, and ColorOS 16 out of the box.

Starting with the display, the OPPO A7 Pro 5G features a 6.57″ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, support for 1.07 billion colours, and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max SoC. Notably, the same chipset is also expected to power its global variant, as revealed through an earlier Geekbench listing which appeared with the model number CPH2931.
The device comes with up to 8GB RAM, along with support for up to 16GB expanded RAM, while a 4,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system has also been equipped for thermal management.
Coming to the cameras, the OPPO A7 Pro 5G sports a 50MP primary camera with autofocus at the rear, whereas a high-resolution selfie camera is present at the front. Camera features include AI Eraser, collage, freestyle stickers, and simultaneous front and rear camera recording.
Speaking of its battery, the smartphone packs a large 8,000mAh battery, and OPPO claims that it can withstand more than 2,000 charge-discharge cycles with a battery lifespan of up to seven years.
It supports 45W SuperVOOC, 45W UFCS, and 45W PPS charging, along with 10W wired reverse charging. Charging is also supported at temperatures as low as -20°C.
As per the brand, the device can offer up to 12.5 hours of navigation, 19.9 hours of video playback, 71 hours of calls, or 128.6 hours of music playback.
Speaking more about durability, the OPPO A7 Pro 5G comes with IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for water and dust resistance. The smartphone is also claimed to have passed 15 military-standard tests covering seven extreme scenarios.
The device additionally supports wet-hand, muddy-hand, oily-hand, glove, and rain touch, letting users operate the display under different conditions.
On the software side, it boots ColorOS 16 out of the box and comes with the brand’s Aurora Engine and Tidal Engine. OPPO has also conducted up to 72 months of ageing and smoothness testing on the device, while the 6GB RAM variant has undergone 60 months of testing.
For audio, it supports up to 300% volume, while accessibility features such as larger icons and text are also offered.
Coming to connectivity, OPPO has equipped the device with its Mountain-Sea weak-network acceleration technology and a 360-degree enhanced antenna, with the latter claimed to improve antenna coverage by 20%.
Navigation-related improvements are also said to offer better positioning in scenarios such as tunnels, car parks, roadside taxi pickup points, and indoor shopping centres.
The device further comes with NFC, supporting access cards, transport cards, bank cards, campus cards, and compatible two-wheeler keys. An infrared sensor is also present for controlling televisions, air conditioners, robot vacuum cleaners, and other supported appliances.
Speaking of security, the OPPO A7 Pro 5G comes with several AI-powered features, including call scam detection, AI voice detection, face-swap detection, and cross-app payment risk alerts.
Other security features include unknown-app blocking, risky-app controls, sensitive-permission protection, and communication protection.
Family-oriented features such as location monitoring, safety-zone alerts, health-data sharing, and remote assistance are also present.
Furthermore, the smartphone comes with AI tools such as AI Recording Summaries, AI Notes, and AI Calendar.
