The OnePlus Open entered the Indian market in October last year and has recently been in the news due to OnePlus’s announcement of its eligibility for Android 15 Beta 2. However, today’s news is about the new Apex Edition in Crimson Shadow colour, set to launch in the Indian market. According to the announcement, it will be available from August 7th.
If you recall, the OnePlus Open originally came in two colour options with a vegan leather back, and the same will be true for this new Apex Edition. OnePlus hasn’t shared any details regarding the price or memory options for this edition.

Even on the OnePlus India website, the pricing and memory options are marked with an “X”. It will be interesting to see whether a new RAM/storage variant will be introduced or if it will be the same 16GB/512GB variant available in Voyager Black and Emerald Dusk.
It is also unclear whether the Apex Edition will be exclusively available on the OnePlus India website or if it will also be sold on Amazon. However, as the launch date approaches, more details are bound to emerge.
