OnePlus Open launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at a price of Rs 1,39,999

OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open has been launched and its price and availability for different markets have also been announced. If earlier reports could not convince a few that the Oppo Find N3 and the OnePlus Open are the same, today’s launch event must have done this. Earlier today the same device was launched in China as Oppo Find N3 and now it has been launched as the OnePlus Open.

If we talk about the price and availability of the handset, the OnePlus Open is priced at Rs 1,39,999 for 16GB/512 GB internal storage. The handset comes in Voyager Black and Emerald Dusk color options. The OnePlus Open is available on Amazon, the OnePlus India website, Reliance Digital, and leading retail stores. Its pre-orders begin today, while open sales will begin on 27th October in India. Those who have ICICI Bank and OneCard cards can avail of benefits up to Rs 5,000. Benefits up to Rs 15,000 can be availed with the Jio Rs 699 postpaid plan.

Additional benefits like Google One, YouTube Premium, and Microsoft 365 will also come with it. For European and North American buyers, the open sale will begin on 26 October. And they will also get a free OnePlus Buds Pro 2 as per the order benefit.

Specifications

The handset comes with a 7.82-inch wide 2K AMOLED main display that sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,800 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Ultra-Thin Glass for protection. Its cover display is a 6.31-inch wide 2K AMOLED display that sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and Ceramic Guard on top. The OnePlus Open is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with Adreno 740 GPU. It packs 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.

The camera section includes a 48 MP Sony LYT-T808 primary camera with a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera and a 48 MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide angle lens. You also get to see a 20 MP primary front camera and a 32 MP secondary front camera. It runs OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The OnePlus Open is backed by a 4,805 mAh battery that supports 67W SUPERVOOC charging. Additionally, you also get to see an alert slider, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers.
