The Moto G Max 5G has now been launched in the Indian market, but the device arrives with a completely different set of specifications compared to its global counterpart. This wasn’t entirely a surprise, though, as the specifications teased by Motorola ahead of its India launch had already confirmed that the Indian variant would be quite different.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual physical SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou and USB Type-C. However, NFC is not supported on the Indian variant.
Quite Different From the Global Moto G Max
As mentioned above, the Moto G Max launched in India is quite different from the model already available in markets such as Brazil.
The Brazilian Moto G Max comes with a larger 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits of brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
It also gets a 200MP primary camera with OIS instead of the 50MP main camera offered on the Indian model. The global model packs a smaller 5,200mAh battery with 33W TurboPower charging, while it also gets NFC and comparatively higher IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings.
So while both smartphones carry the same Moto G Max moniker, their core hardware is considerably different depending on the market.
