Honor Once Again Teases its Magic V5 Flagship Foldable Smartphone Ahead of its Debut Today: Slim Form Factor, Powerful Performance, and AI Capabilities
The Chinese leading smartphone and other consumer electronics maker – Honor will be conducting its Magic V5 and AI Ecosystem Launch Conference today in its home market and ahead of it, the much-awaited Magic V5 foldable smartphone has again been teased.

Honor Magic V5 – Slim Form Factor, Powerful Performance, and AI Capabilities Teased Again
As per the newly-shared Weibo teaser updates, the upcoming Magic V5 has again been teased for its slim form factor, powerful performance, and AI capabilities. It is already revealed to offer an 8.8 mm folded thickness and is claimed to be the ‘world’s thinnest’. The device is also pointed out to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chip too, assuring a full-blooded performance. Honor’s Magic V5 smartphone is also teased to arrive as ‘the most powerful AI phone’, and many AI features can be expected on the device – one among them being the AI Internal Screen Foreign Object Detection capability.
Looking at its other previously teased specs and features, in addition to being slim in design, the Magic V5 smartphone of Honor will also be light in weight and is going to pack a large 6100 mAh battery within it. A 64MP ultra-sensitive periscope telephoto AI camera has also been given on the device with OIS capability, making it the ‘highest pixel periscope telephoto foldable’. Moreover, the device equips the brand’s own Luban Shock-Absorbing Hinge that offers drop resistance – inside and outside. PC-level productivity features and the YOYO smart assistant are also revealed to be part of this device. Four color variants can be expected and Chinese customers will be offered Velvet Black / Warm White / Silk Road Dunhuang / Dawn Gold colors.
About its launch, as mentioned, the next generation Honor Magic V5 smartphone will be debuting today on the 2nd of July 2025 in the Chinese market at 7 PM local time, and the launch event will be live streamed on multiple e-commerce and media platforms. Alongside the upcoming flagship foldable, the brand will also be unveiling the MagicPad 3 tablet, MagicBook Art 14 2025 laptop, Watch 5 Ultra smartwatch, and the Open Earbuds at the same event.
