God Of War game and its complete franchise

God Of War Franchise is one of the most exciting games in the world.  God of War made its debut in the year 2005 and since then made eight titles. The popular game was published by SonyPlaystation. This play station became the synonym for the God of War game from 2005.

At first, the game was allowed to play in Ps2. As we all know, the game genre is an action-adventure and is based on ancient Greek mythology. The game lead is protagonist Kratos. He kills his family members due to the deceiving action of the Greek God of war Ares. Kratos fights against monsters, men, and Gods. The plot of the game goes on like that.

Though every part of the game is exciting and interesting, the gamers have their favorites. The different parts of the game comprise different themes and different mythologies.

After developing the game for PS2 at first, the developers started to develop the God Of War game for different platforms such as ps2, ps3, ps4, ps5, computers, and mobile phones. The franchise sold over 51 million copies.

List of God Of War games:

First Era:

The first era happens in a fictional world of Greek mythology. The games were available till 2013.

God of War:

It was released in March 22, 2005.  It was all started there. Kratos is tasked with killing the God of War Ares with the motif being Ares tricks Kratos by killing his wife and daughter.

The game uses combat mechanics where player controls the actions of Kratos. The weapon is blade of chaos.

God Of War II:

This second insatllment was released in 2007. In this installment the Kratos kills Ares and becomes God of War. In this new villian is introduces named Zeus.

With the improvisation of graphics, it gives much more better experience than the first one.

God Of War: Betrayal

It was release later second installment in the same year 2007. It was released in Jave Me. This is the only game that is not released in Playsatations. This is the third installment chronologically.

God of War: Chains of Olympus

It was released in 2008.  This is the fourth installment in the game.  The gameplay revolves around Kratos who is tasked by the Goddess Athena to find Sun God Helios. Only Helios can save the Kratos is set as  a quest.

God Of War collection:

This collection contains both the games God of War and God Of War 2. This was first released in North America. This was released in playstation as  a digital download. In 2009, it was introduced.

God of War III:

it was released in 2010 in PS4 and Ps5. It is the sixth installment in chronological order. The game follows the events of Kratos who is betrayed by Zeus. God of War III uses the TPP perspective.\

God of War: Ghost of Sparta:

It was released in 2010. It was released to Playstation portable.  In this Kratos kills Thantos and makes a comeback at Olympus. It is also a part of God of War saga and God Of War origins Collection.

God of War: Origins Collection:

God of War: Origins Collection, also called God of War Collection – Volume II, is the series that brings remastered versions of two PSP-powered installments – Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, on Sony PlayStation 3 .

It was first released in Europe and Australia and in Japan after. It was released in 2011.

God of War Saga:

It was released in August 2012.Tthe series includes five games – God of War, God of War II, God of War III, Ghost of Sparta, and Chains of Olympus.

God of War: Ascension:

It was released on PS3, in March 2013. The game brings back the weapon blade of chaos. It is a multiplayer game.

God of War III Remastered:

It was releasd in ps4 in 2015.  It is a ported version of 2010 God of War III for Sony PlayStation 4. This game has been ported to 1080p resolution with 60fps.

Second era:

The second era follows Norse mythology.

God of War (2018):

The game is set in ancient Scandinavia in Midgard and it has two protagonists i.e. Kratos , and his son Atreus although the former is the only playable character in this game.

It is fastest selling game out of all the parts. More than 10 million copies were sold.

Untitled God of War Sequel:

It is latest version and released in 2022. It was released in platforms Ps4, ps5. This game will bring out Ragnarok and is baout the deaths of Norse gods.
