Youtubers’ impact on the Indian economy 2020

According to the analysis done by Oxford, Economics Youtubers contributed Rs.6800 crores to the Indian economy of 2020. It is also said that Youtube supported 6,83,900 jobs for the Indians.

Youtube has changed many people’s lives by providing employability, higher incomes and growing their businesses. Along with this, Youtube creative ecosystem made an impact on the economy of India.

The study made by Oxford Economics titled ” A platform for Indian opportunity” stated that the youtube community generates revenue not only for creators but also for businesses, employees and consumers across the country.

As per this study, Youtube creators spend money on goods and services which includes graphic designers, video edition, producers, cameras, properties for video creation. This creates job opportunities for people who belong to the respective fields and revenue for businesses. On the other hand, Youtube creators earn money with product sales, brand partnerships, live performances and people views.

All these things made an indirect impact on the economy of our country. This study has also shown that India has 4,000 channels with over 1,00,000 subscribers and an increase of 45% year over year. Let’s not forget, coronavirus played a major role by pushing the youngsters, kids, actors and actresses of our country to follow their passion during the lockdown period
