Evacuation of Indians with Hungary’s assistance seems like a ray of hope for Indians stranded in Ukraine.

Firstly, a war seems to have broken in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine are at the centre of situation. Following a long history of conflicts and despite the world’s discouragement, Russia launches military operation in Ukraine’s borders on Thursday. On Wednesday, the world was present in a united stance against Russia and ready to persuade it to to involve in dialogues. Starting from South coast, Donbass and expanding to East and North. Various cities of Ukraine are under attack and citizens are hearing explosions.

Indian government on evacuation of Indians with Hungary’s assistance

On 24th February, Thursday, India issues advisory for evacuation of stranded Indian citizens and students in Ukraine. However, as the conflict exacerbates and Ukraine guns down 6 military planes of Russia. As a consequence, later the day, India apprises that it is cancelling emergency flights evacuating citizens of India from Ukraine.

Although, it did add that it will restart the process soon.

Currently, at 19:25 IST, 24th February, PTI relays that the government of India is working with the government of Hungary to provide assistance to the stranded citizens in the crisis stricken country. Indian embassy in Hungary says on evacuation of Indians from Ukraine.
