Elon Musk on how Covid 19 caused a “baby bust” rather than a “baby boom”

Elon Musk, the billionaire businessman, took to Twitter on Sunday to share how the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a lower birth rate in high-income countries, as opposed to the expected “baby boom” due to people being forced to stay indoors.

Musk also shared a Scientific American report titled ‘The Pandemic Caused a Baby Bust, Not a Boom.’

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, believes that the greatest threat to humanity is a declining birthrate.

Elon Musk’s most recent Tweet reads, ‘I’m talking about not having kids in the first place.’ That is the issue.’

His remarks come at a time when an increasing number of people are choosing not to have children, citing issues such as climate change and inequality.
