Google to stop unlimited WhatsApp backup storage in drive
The Limited Google Drive Plan for WhatsApp is currently is works for Android users, by WABetaInfo.
WhatsApp chat backups are stored on Google Drive for all Android users. And for a long time, Google has offered unlimited space storage for WhatsApp backups. It is like, WhatsApp users could store chat backups on Google Drive freely, indefinitely, and is not counted as a part of the standard storage space that the company provides to all Google account holders.

Google will be introducing some changes in backups, drive notifications about its storage that when it got full, info about when did changes take place, and a few more. The new feature, underdevelopment will allow managing your WhatsApp chat during backups to Google Drive. The feature will allow certain messages type to exclude from backups, for saving space under-drive
Though for years, there was not any storage quota for WhatsApp users to store backups in Google drive, only for Android users, on the other hand for iOS users, it is not the same. Apple does not offer unlimited storage for backups in iCloud. But chances are there that users will witness some change after some time, as per sources.
