The new feature, underdevelopment will allow managing your WhatsApp chat during backups to Google Drive. The feature will allow certain messages type to exclude from backups, for saving space under-drive
Though for years, there was not any storage quota for WhatsApp users to store backups in Google drive, only for Android users, on the other hand for iOS users, it is not the same.
