Gautam Adani becomes World’s second richest person, beats Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk holds top spot
A Forbes article states that Indian manufacturer and billionaire Gautam Adani has overcome Bill Gates to take second place in the world’s wealth rankings. The entrepreneur is now wealthier than Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and Bernard Arnault of Louis Vitton.
In the list of richest people in the world, Gautam Adani, the billionaire chairman of the Adani Group, passed Jeff Bezos of Amazon for second place. Adani’s net worth is estimated by Forbes’ real-time Billionaires list to be $155.7 billion, a gain of $5.5 billion.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, currently occupies the top position on the list of the richest individuals in the world, with Gautam Adani coming in second.
Jeff Bezos is presently fourth on the list with a net worth of $149.7, behind only Elon Musk, Gautam Adani, and Bernard Anault. Bezos reportedly had a $2.3 billion decline in fortune. With a net worth of $153.5 million, Bernard Arnault & Family is the third-placed firm on the list. Arnault’s wealth dropped by $4.9 billion today.
On September 7, 2022, Gautam Adani declared that his ports-to-power company would build three mega plants to produce solar panels, wind turbines, and hydrogen electrolyzers as part of a USD 70 billion investment in renewable energy by 2030. According to a PTI story, the Adani group is extending its investments across the green energy value chain to exceed all other renewable energy providers globally by 2030.
