Yesterday, Xiaomi officially unveiled its all-new Xiaomi SkyNomad (Pengcheng in China) series, the first model built on the Xiaomi Kunlun Platform. The launch introduces two variants: SkyNomad N90 Max and SkyNomad N70 Max.
Xiaomi SkyNomad Series: Pricing & Availability
The Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max is priced at 299900 Yuan, and the SkyNomad N70 Max is priced at 259900 Yuan in China. Pre-orders for these SUVs have already started in China. A 1000 Yuan deposit secures an order; once the order is locked in, buyers receive priority production scheduling, plus a complimentary 999 Yuan in-car dual-cupholder table upon delivery.
Exterior colour options include Mountain Green, Valley Blue, and Volcanic Gray, while the EV offers Cream Beige and Mocha Brown interior colour options. The series will be officially released in September 2026.
Xiaomi SkyNomad Series: Features
Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max, a large extended-range SUV, measures 5,285mm long, 1998mm wide, and 1,825mm tall, on a 3080mm wheelbase. Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Max, a mid-to-large extended-range SUV, measures 4960mm x 1998mm x 1765mm on a 2950mm wheelbase.
The series features a flat roofline that maximises second- and third-row headroom, a continuous waistline that stretches the profile, a rising sill line that lifts the visual centre of gravity, and a rounded-rectangle motif that carries through the headlights, taillights, door handles, and side cameras.
Xiaomi SkyNomad incorporates over 140 aerodynamic optimisations, including a standard active grille across the range, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.255 on Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max.
The series includes smart electric doors that open by touch or voice, rear doors that open to nearly 90 degrees, a 360-degree anti-collision system, second- and third-row privacy curtains and an optional electric side step.
On the inside, the series features a cabinet-style centre console that extends 1,530mm horizontally, a new two-spoke steering wheel, hidden mechanical air vents and a threaded accessory port that delivers 27W fast charging for phone mounts, action cameras, and similar accessories.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max comes with a 32m2 interior that carries OEKO-TEX certification, applying infant-grade safety standards to the cabin. The front and second-row setbacks use a 12-layer comfort structure, and the front seats come standard with 16-point massage, ventilation, and heating; up to 4 zero-gravity seats are available across the trims. The wheel options include standard 21-inch Prism-shaped rims, plus optional 12-inch Beam-shaped Rims and 21-inch Starbust-shaped Rims Stealth Black Edition. Bridgestone quiet-tuned tyres are standard across the range.
The SkyNomad N90 series offers 2,760mm of total occupant space across the vehicle, with second-row legroom reaching up to 1.55m. The cargo area expands to a maximum of 1,831L. In Ultimate Storage Mode, it holds up to 24 20-inch suitcases. The cabin includes 34 storage compartments.
Xiaomi SkyNomad series comes standard with a completely flat floor across all trims; the entire cabin features a flat floor with just a 2.95-degree slope, spanning nearly 3m in length with a maximum flat area exceeding 4.4m2.
The SkyNomad N90 Max comes with up to 1,938mm seat slide rails with 900mm of travel for both second and third rows. The rails use aerospace-grade 7-series reinforced aluminium alloy, rated to 54 kN lock strength and 57 kN peel strength, and validated through 15,000 cycles with no loosening or functional degradation.
Xiaomi SkyNomad’s variable space is designed around real usage patterns- rest, family time, camping, and business meetings. All seats are power adjustable.
The series comes with the Xiaomi Kunlun Total Safety system. High-strength steel and aluminium alloy make up 90.4% of the Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max body, with 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel used in 16 critical locations. 12 airbags come standard on the N90 Max, along with 9 collision sensors.
The series features a Xiaomi Armor Scale battery, triple-redundant door handles, and dual emergency pull handles. SkyNomad N90 Max is rated for emergency wading up to 750mm. 26 standard driver-assistance safety features and 39 anti-pinch points reduce the risk of injury.
The SkyNomad series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and supports dual 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The series boasts an e-Fuse solid-state power distribution system, upgraded Flyback low-voltage power system, customisable head-up display with -4.7 degree optimal viewing angle and 1500-nit brightness, 25-speaker in-house audio system, a 6.9-inch rear control screen, variable-space table, up to 6 magnetic mount points, NFC touch-to-control tags, and Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAI.

Battery capacity ranges from 52kWh (entry) to 76kWh. On CLTC, Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Max reaches up to 505 km of EV-only range, and the Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max reaches 464 km. Combined with a large fuel tank, the SkyNomad N90 Max reaches a combined range of 1,705km, while combined with a 45L fuel tank, the SkyNomad N70 Max reaches a CLTC combined range of 1461km.
A five-in-one SiC range-extending drive unit improves efficiency by 2.65%, reducing consumption to 15.85 kWh/100 km. After its first scheduled service, the range-extender unit requires maintenance only every 3 years or 30,000 km. All variants support 92, 95, and 98 octane fuel (applicable in China).
Dual-motor all-wheel drive delivers 310 kW of peak power. Braking from 100-0km/h takes 38.57 m, with consistent performance across 10 consecutive stops. Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max has a 5.95m turning radius.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max carries a double-wishbone front suspension, an H-arm multi-link rear suspension, five-stage adjustable air springs and continuously variable damping to balance comfort and control.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Max standard configuration includes front double wishbone and rear multi-link suspension, air springs and continuously damped variable shock absorbers. It includes 9 airbags, an embedded roll cage, and one-piece thermoformed door rings.
