Volkswagen India officially teases new Virtus facelift

The automaker Volkswagen has officially teased its upcoming Virtus facelift in the Indian market, giving glimpses of its exterior design.

Volkswagen Virtus facelift teased

The Virtus retains its slim headlamp layout, with LED daytime running lights outlining the lighting units. There is a narrow upper grille that connects the headlamps, an illuminated Volkswagen logo on the front and a red GT badge on one side.

It features a new front bumper design with smaller design elements that appear to have a gloss finish. The fog lamp features smaller cube-shaped lights. The teaser also shows new alloy wheels finished in black. The bumper gets a more aggressive appearance, featuring a wide lower intake with geometric detailing.

It appears to arrive with a blue exterior finish, an angular alloy wheel design, conventional door handles and a sloping roofline. The teaser also hints towards a single-pane sunroof and a shark-fin antenna.

The rear side features distinctive red LED lighting elements within split tail lamp assemblies. The boot lid also gets a small lip spoiler. Lower down, the bumper has dark inserts and patterned surfaces, while parking sensors also seem to be visible in the teaser. The new Virtus facelift marks the first major refresh since the 2022 India launch of the Virtus.

The interior design details have not been revealed yet. Volkswagen is expected to increase the price of this upcoming Volkswagen Virtus facelift. Reports suggest that this midsize sedan could launch in December 2026.
