MAHINDRA XUV300 EV

Mahindra has officially confirmed that the new XUV300-based electric SUV will be available in the country in the first half of 2023. The new electric SUV, rumored to be called the Mahindra XUV400, will be built on the Mahindra Scalable and Modular Architecture (MESMA). The MESMA platform is produced entirely in-house at the company’s facility. The platform is versatile enough to support a variety of body types from various parts.

The new Mahindra XUV300 EV is expected to have two battery options: an entry-level 40kWh battery pack and a larger battery. The entry-level variant is likely to have a range of 300-350km, while the extended variant may have a range of 400km.

MARUTI-TOYOTA SUV

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota JV are developing a new SUV, which is likely to be released around the holiday season. Toyota’s locally built TNGA-B platform will serve as the foundation for the new vehicle (or DNGA). It will borrow stylistic ideas from larger Toyota SUVs such as the RAV4 and Corolla Cross. According to rumors, the new SUV could be unveiled in June or July 2022.

Toyota’s Bidadi factory number 2 in Karnataka will manufacture the new Toyota-Maruti SUV. The new Maruti-Toyota SUV would most likely be available with two petrol engines and a hybrid drive unit. The first model will have mild hybrid technology, while the second will have a stronger hybrid system with more power and greater fuel economy. To ensure affordable price, the majority of the hybrid system’s components would be made in India.

5-DOOR MAHINDRA THAR

Mahindra will introduce the Thar lifestyle SUV with a large wheelbase in the country in 2023. The 5-door Mahindra Thar will outperform the 3-door model. To improve the overall ride quality, Mahindra might also work on the suspension arrangement. In addition, Mahindra will offer lighter steering in the 5-door model.

It will be built on a modified version of the current platform. It will have a greater wheelbase and a longer body to accommodate new rear passenger doors. In addition, the SUV will have a greater trunk area. The new 5-door Thar is expected to be powered by a 180mStallion Pro turbo petrol engine that is more powerful and faster than the existing model. The new Thar is predicted to reach speeds of up to 180kmph. The diesel engine might be modified to deliver up to 160bhp of power.
