Suzuki Motorcycle starts production of first electric scooter in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. has recently announced that the company has started the production of its first electric scooter-Suzuki e-ACCESS, at the company’s manufacturing facility in Gurgaon, Haryana. This electric two-wheeler was first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
Suzuki e-ACCESS is revealed to be equipped with Suzuki’s proprietary e-technology, featuring a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery that is designed to offer thermal stability and extended service life. The company has also mentioned that the battery and other components of this scooter have undergone rigorous testing for submersion, extreme temperatures, vibrations, drops, crush tests, punctures, and motor bench. It includes Regenerative Braking, a maintenance-free belt drive, and multiple riding modes- Eco, Ride A, Ride B, and Reverse mode.
This e-scooter has been designed to provide steady performance at varying speeds, including during low battery levels. It is intended to serve as a long-term mobility solution for urban commuters. Suzuki e-ACCESS arrives with LED headlights, LED DRL along with turn indicators, dual tone colors, and contrasting color for seat covers, and a sizeable TFT instrument cluster that is expected to pack various connectivity features.
