New Renault Duster Launch Date Officially Announced: Hitting the Indian Market on 26th January 2026

Renault India via its X handle has now officially announced the launch date of the next generation Renault Duster, marking the brand’s return to the compact SUV segment after four years. It will be hitting the Indian market early next year in 2026.

New Renault Duster – To Launch on 26th January 2026

As mentioned, the next generation Renault Duster has been announced to launch in India on the 26th of January 2026, on the coming Republic Day, and the brand has used the tagline – ‘The Icon is Back’ to tease its new compact-sized SUV. While nothing about its specs or features have been teased, in the comments section, the brand has suggested that this time diesel options may also be offered for Renault’s Duster in addition to the petrol variants.

 

Speaking more, this new Renault Duster model will be the brand’s first vehicle to launch in India as part of the International Game Plan 2027, and it will also be aligning with the ‘renault.rethink’ product strategy. Just to add, both the Renault Triber and the Renault Kiger facelifts were also unveiled this year in the Indian market as part of the ‘renault.rethink’ product strategy.

While the details concerning its engine options are still under cover, the latest Renault Duster is expected to be offered the 1.3 liter HR13 turbo petrol engine (156hp), along with manual and CVT transmissions. Also, the vehicle’s base models may be using the 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol engine from the Renault Kiger, but which will possibly be tuned to deliver more power. In terms of competition, it is said to compete with Hyundai’s Creta, Volkswagen’s Taigun, Skoda’s Kushaq, Kia’s Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Tata’s Sierra, Honda’s Elevate, and Maruti Suzuki’s Victoris and Grand Vitara.
