Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launched Officially In India; Check Out The Features And Other Details

Hyundai India yesterday officially unveiled its all-new Hyundai Creta Electric at Auto Expo 2025 and in the same event, Maruti Suzuki unveiled its first electric SUV- the e Vitara. Both these EVs are said to compete with each other in the Indian market.

Exterior
The e Vitara’s body is shaped by aerodynamics. It has a futuristic front fascia, tri-LED DRLS, a bold front bumper, and a closed grille. A charging port is present on the side. While the rear side features connected taillights. It measures 4275x1800x1635mm and comes with a 2700mm wheelbase while it weighs 1900kg. It is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, C-pillar mounted door handles, and a tail lamp in a lightbar design. It comes in 10 color options with 4 dual-tone options.
Interior
It features a dual-tone dashboard, dual screens for infotainment and instrument cluster, a floating center console, two spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, 7 airbags (including an additional driver knee airbag), and Level 2 ADAS. There is a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, sliding and reclining rear seats, flexible boot space, plush door armrests, Harman sound and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. There is ambient lighting with multi-color illumination.
Performance & Features
It is compatible with Suzuki connect which supports smartwatch connectivity, provides vehicle status and alerts, Suzuki navigation, and schedule charging features. This EV comes with four modes-Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow. It is powered by high battery capacity, and equipped with an Advanced Thermal Management system, Tyre Pressure monitoring system, and Acoustic Vehicle alarm system. It is based onthe Heartect e-platform.
There are two battery packs- 49kWh and 61kWh. The 49kWh variant offers 189Nm torque and 144PS while the 61kWh variant offers the same torque and 174PS. The 61kWh variant offersa 500km range. These variants can be charged with varied charging options. There is also an AWD version (e-AllGrip) offered with a dual motor setup.
The pricing details are yet to be announced by Maruti.
