The automaker Kia is all set to make its entry into the hybrid SUV market in India with the launch of the Kia Sorento. The company has officially started the pre-bookings of this SUV in the Indian market.

The teaser reveals the SUV under a cover; therefore, not many details are known about its design. But a glimpse of T-shaped LED daytime running lights, vertically stacked headlights and part of the front bumper can be seen.
Online reports suggest that the Kia Sorento will make its debut in India on 4th September. Though not much is officially confirmed about this upcoming SUV, leaked test mules and spy shots have revealed what we can expect.
Kia Sorento: Expected features
The SUV is said to have a larger blacked-out grille, chrome accents, sharp LED DRLs, dual-tone bumpers, sporty alloy wheels, and circular wheel arches on the exterior. As per reports, it measures 4,815mm in length, 1900mm in width, 1700mm in height and a 2,815mm wheelbase.
Meanwhile, the cabin is said to feature dual-tone leatherette, while both 6-seat and 7-seat versions are expected to be introduced with the SUV. A curved panoramic display, multifunctional steering wheel, paddle shifters, a rotary gear selector, a secondary rotary dial for selecting terrain and traction modes, wireless charger, ventilated front and second row seats, ADAS features, Bose audio system, a 360-degree camera and dedicated controls are some of the other expected features.
Coming to the powertrain, Kia is expected to offer the Sorento with two options: a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol strong hybrid and a 2.2-litre diesel option.
