										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Samsung has expanded its ISOCELL image-sensor portfolio with the introduction of the new ISOCELL HPC. The 200MP mobile image sensor brings the company’s new DeepPix pixel technology, single-frame 16-bit HDR, multiple in-sensor zoom levels, and support for recording 4K videos at up to 180fps.</p>

<h3>Samsung ISOCELL HPC – Specifications and Features</h3>
<p>The Samsung ISOCELL HPC is a 1/1.3-inch image sensor featuring a resolution of 16,384 × 12,288 pixels and an individual pixel size of 0.6μm. It uses Samsung’s Tetra²pixel RGB Bayer pattern and has been designed for use in mobile devices.</p>
<p>One of its key additions is the new DeepPix pixel technology, which uses a Front Deep Trench Isolation structure. According to Samsung, FDTI expands the photodiode capacity and shared floating diffusion, increasing the single-pixel Full Well Capacity by up to 60 percent compared with the previous generation.</p>
<p>The higher Full Well Capacity is claimed to enable a wider dynamic range, lower image noise, and improved details in bright and dark areas of an image.</p>
<h3>HDR and In-Sensor Zoom</h3>
<p>The ISOCELL HPC supports single-frame 16-bit HDR, which Samsung claims offers up to four times richer colour expression than conventional HDR. Its HDR technologies include Smart-ISO Pro with iDCG and DSG.</p>
<p>The sensor also supports 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x in-sensor zoom through in-sensor downscaling, whereas the Single-frame HDR remains available across all supported zoom levels from 1x to 4x.</p>
<p>Video Recording and Frame Rates</p>
<p>At its complete 200MP resolution, the ISOCELL HPC can capture images at up to 7.5fps and supports up to 30fps at 50MP and up to 180fps at 12.5MP.</p>
<p>Regarding video recording, the sensor supports 8K videos at 30fps and 4K videos at up to 180fps. It can also record 4K videos at up to 120fps with all-pixel phase-detection autofocus and Full HD videos at up to 360fps without autofocus.</p>
<p>For focusing, the ISOCELL HPC uses Samsung’s Super QPD autofocus technology based on Partial PD.</p>
<h3>Microlens and Additional Technical Details</h3>
<p>The sensor uses Samsung’s High Precision Microlens technology with a high-refractive-index material. It also features a High Transmittance anti-reflection layer, which is designed to reduce light reflection and scattering while improving quantum efficiency.</p>
<p>The ISOCELL HPC uses an electronic rolling shutter and supports RAW10, RAW12, RAW14, RAW16 output formats and its analogue gain can reach up to 16x at the full resolution and up to 160x while capturing 12.5MP images.</p>
<p>For data transmission, the sensor supports a four-lane D-PHY interface operating at 2.5Gbps per lane or a three-trio C-PHY interface operating at 5.0Gsps per trio. It operates using a 2.2V analogue supply, a 1.8V input/output supply, and a 0.85V digital-core supply.</p>
<p>The sensor has an operating-temperature range of -20°C to 85°C.</p>

<p>Today, Tecno has officially teased its next-gen bezelless concept phone that will be showcased at IFA 2026 in September.</p>

<p>The above video showcases the device with a 0mm screen bezel. It is <a href="https://www.gsmarena.com/tecno_teases_concept_phone_with_0mm_display_bezels-news-73936.php">said</a> that the 0mm bezels were achieved through “advanced internal stacking, new screen packaging techniques, and structural re-engineering.”</p>
<p>In the teaser video, it can be seen that the concept phone features an edge-to-edge display offering an immersive experience with no visible borders around the screen. The device retains a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Other hardware details are still under wraps.</p>
<p>For now, this is just a concept device that will be showcased in September, and if things go well, then we may see this concept being used in future smartphones. Although nothing is confirmed yet.</p>

<h2>Samsung’s Tandem OLED panel for laptops now meet the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 standard</h2>
<p>Today, the company has officially announced that it has begun the full-scale supply of tandem OLED panels for laptops that meet VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400, VESA’s new certification tier for high-brightness OLED displays.</p>
<p><strong>Requirements for the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 standard</strong></p>
<p>According to VESA, this new certification requires a display to reproduce black levels of 0.0005 nits or lower while achieving a peak brightness of 1400 nits at a 10% On Pixel Ratio (PXR), which refers to the percentage of active pixels among all pixels on the screen. The new tier raises the peak brightness requirement by 40% compared with True Black 1000.</p>
<p><strong>Samsung’s Tandem OLED panel</strong></p>
<p>Samsung Display’s new tandem OLED panel for laptops can reach peak brightness of up to 1600 nits at the panel level. The company is supplying tandem OLED panels that support this new VESA tier to multiple global PC manufacturers.</p>
<p>It is revealed that the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition (16”, 11), featuring the panel, has also earned the True Black 1400 certification, while companies like ASUS, Dell Technologies and MSI are expected to unveil products supporting this certification from the second half of this year through next year.</p>
<p>The new panel uses a tandem OLED architecture that stacks two organic emissive layers to improve light-emitting efficiency and achieve higher brightness. Because the two stacked layers emit light together, a tandem OLED can produce greater brightness using the same current or reduce the load on each emissive layer at the same brightness level, extending the panel’s lifespan. As a result, the panel delivers both higher brightness and a longer lifetime.</p>
<p>Also, by applying newly developed organic materials to its tandem OLED, the company has further enhanced the panel’s overall performance.</p>
<p>Brad Jung, Vice President and Head of IT Business Sales, Marketing &amp; Product Planning Team, said, “Our high-performance OLED panel for laptops that meets the True Black 1400 standard is a prime example of Samsung Display&#8217;s advanced materials technology. We will continue to expand our OLED lineup to deliver differentiated product experiences in the premium laptop market.”</p>
<p>Samsung Display will be showcasing the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 tandem OLED panel for laptops at K-Display 2026, in Seoul from July 22 to 24.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today, the South Korean tech giant Samsung has officially unveiled its new Flex Titanium display technology, which will debut on the next-gen Galaxy foldables.</p>
<h2>Samsung introduces Flex Titanium Display Technology</h2>
<p>The redesigned display structure utilises structural and material advancements to deliver a more refined viewing experience with enhanced durability and reduced crease visibility. This display technology integrates two titanium-based components: a titanium-alloy film and a titanium plate that work together to balance slimness, flexibility and strength within the foldable display structure.</p>
<p>To create a display that provides an immersive viewing experience while maintaining its ability to withstand everyday use, Samsung took a new approach to structural design. This required a material strong enough to withstand external shock, flexible enough to endure repeated folding and thin enough to fit within a refined device structure. The new display technology balances all three factors.</p>
<p><strong>Two titanium-based components:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>The titanium-alloy film supports the display from within, sitting below the OLED panel. Compared with polymer film, it provides 20 times greater mechanical stiffness. A precision rolling process makes the material exceptionally thin- measuring roughly one-third the thickness of an average human hair, enabling a slimmer display panel.</li>
<li>The titanium plate supports the display module from beneath. It allows tighter bonding with the display module by eliminating air gaps between the module and the adhesive on the plate through advanced hole processing technology. This new structure provides more stable support underneath the display when unfolded while retaining the flexibility needed to accommodate repeated folding.</li>
</ul>
<p>Other than this, Samsung has integrated a high-resolution architecture and next-generation organic materials, due to which the display delivers ultra-vivid display resolution while reducing power consumption.</p>
<p>“By introducing sophisticated micro-patterned holes to the folding section of the titanium plate, we have successfully secured flexibility with robust durability,” said Kyung-Jin Yoo, EVP and Head of Mobile Display Product Development Team, Samsung Display. “Combining high-resolution display architecture with new organic materials that maximise power efficiency, we will further strengthen the competitiveness of next-generation Galaxy foldable devices.”</p>
<p>This new display technology will make its debut with Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy foldable devices, which will be unveiled on 22<sup>nd</sup> July at the <a href="https://www.thetechoutlook.com/new-release/gadgets-release/mobile/samsung-galaxy-unpacked-event-announced-to-be-held-on-22nd-july-pre-reserve-for-the-upcoming-galaxy-devices-start-in-india/">Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event</a>.</p>

The mass-production shipment is scheduled for the end of June 2026.</p>
<h2>Sony LYTIA 610 64MP 1/2-type CMOS image sensor</h2>
<p>This is the industry’s first product with this RB2x2 OCL pixel structure to be produced. By combining the RB2x2 OCL pixel structure with dedicated array conversion processing optimised for this structure, this sensor offers more than 20% improvement in spatial resolution compared to Sony’s conventional product with the same pixel size, allowing telephoto cameras to capture subjects with fine detail.</p>
<p>The improved readout speed also enables 4K 120 fps video recording for the first time on Sony’s 1/2-type sensor.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The American tech giant, Google, has been actively working on its Tensor Processing Unit or TPU chips for powering its AI infrastructure, and now a new update shared by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed a few details regarding the company’s upcoming upgraded TPU v9 chip.</p>

<h2>Google TPU v9 Triggerfish: Production and Specs Tipped</h2>
<p>Based on what has been revealed in his X/Twitter post, Ming-Chi Kuo states that the upcoming Triggerfish chip will be a Humufish-based follow-on program, positioned as a TPU v9 variant with stronger inference capabilities. The project also further confirms MediaTek as Google’s preferred development partner for the TPU v9 generation.</p>
<p>About the key differences when compared to Humufish, Ming-Chi Kuo points out that the SRAM capacity has been significantly increased to 2 to 3 times that of Humufish. Along with this, a new simulation die has also been added, while the memory has been upgraded to HBM4E instead of the HBM4 memory used on Humufish. With these upgraded specs, this new variant is expected to help mitigate both the CPU wall and the memory wall, which are two of the key limitations faced in advanced AI workloads.</p>

<p>Notably, the Humufish lifetime shipments are still estimated to be around 4 to 5 million units. Google is now adding an incremental Triggerfish order of around 1 to 2 million units, with production expected to begin in late 2027 and its volume ramp likely to take place in 2028.</p>
<p>But this upgrade isn&#8217;t going to come cheap, according to Kuo, the upgraded Triggerfish codenamed TPU V9 is going to cost 30% higher than Humufish. The analyst also points out that this could become an incremental driver of MediaTek’s 2028 business momentum. With AI agents and reinforcement learning expected to become more important in the coming years, Google’s upgraded TPU v9 Triggerfish chip could play a key role in improving the brand’s future AI infrastructure.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today, Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation officially announced the upcoming release of the 50MP LYTIA L910 image sensor for mobile applications.</p>
<h2>Sony LYTIA L910 image sensor</h2>
<p>This 50MP image sensor delivers 100dB high dynamic range imaging with low power consumption. This is the first product in the LYTIA lineup with the LOFIC structure, and also features the new HDR technology and logic circuit technology, enabling high-quality imaging by reducing highlight blowout in bright areas and noise in dark areas.</p>
<p>It offers HDR video recording at 4K 60fps, while maintaining low power consumption with optimised circuit design. The new sensor combines the expanded saturation capacity with the new HDR and circuit technology. It achieves a dynamic range of 100dB with a single exposure, enabling imaging with rich gradations from highlights to shadows and minimal noise.</p>
<p>It also employs Triple Conversion Gain-HDR technology, which reads out the charge obtained from a single exposure at three different conversion gains. While the Ultra High Conversion Gain (UHCG) circuits, technology enhances charge-to-voltage conversion efficiency. It reduces random noise by approximately 30% compared to Sony’s conventional product.</p>
<p>Sony’s proprietary circuit design and advanced processes reduce the time required for analog-to-digital signal conversion, thereby lowering sensor power consumption. This leads to lower battery consumption for smartphones and enables high-quality 4K video recording at 60fps while maintaining a high dynamic range. It also enables users to preview images in HDR quality on their smartphone screens.</p>
<p>The mass production shipment of this newly unveiled chipset started in the summer of 2026.</p>

<p>The new generation OLED Luminescent Material comes with the world’s first New Fluorescent Blue Technology that utilises a double-layer blue luminescent material, effectively suppressing non-radiative losses and significantly improving blue-light luminescence efficiency, thereby achieving lower power consumption and longer lifespan; simultaneously employing hardware-level low blue-light for safer eye protection.</p>

<p>It also includes new generation PSF (Phosphor Sensitised Fluorescence) technology that achieves high-purity green light output through more efficient multi-channel energy transfer, breaking through the technical challenge of traditional green light materials where ‘efficiency and stability are difficult to achieve simultaneously.’</p>
<p>Both of these technologies create a high-end OLED eye-protection screen that is energy-efficient, durable, and protective. With these technologies, the power consumption is reduced by 12%, the lifespan is increased by 100%, while the screen adopts hardware-level low blue light, reducing the proportion of harmful blue light for a soft and comfortable viewing experience.</p>
<p>According to the company, its Tiangong screen features upgraded materials and an enhanced experience, making the screen better to use and more durable, truly achieving clear visibility even after prolonged use and long-lasting eye protection.</p>

<p>The company has teased the launch of its upcoming sensor in the Chinese market. The teaser image reveals two sensors, suggesting that the company will unveil two new image sensors in the country.</p>

<p>The above image also reveals that the upcoming sensors will arrive with dual-core technology for enhanced mobile imaging. Well, the company has not revealed the sensor names, but as per rumours, one among these could be the LYTIA-838 sensor.</p>
<p>Last year in June, Sony LYTIA introduced its<a href="https://www.thetechoutlook.com/news/innovation/sony-officially-unveils-lyt-828-50mp-cmos-image-sensor-mass-production-to-start-in-late-august-2025/"> LYTIA-828 sensor</a>, and it is expected that this year we may see its successor. Though it is advisable to wait for the official confirmation before coming to any conclusion.</p>
