A new concept smartphone from Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has now been showcased internally in China, and looking at the specifications, this one certainly appears to be giving us an idea of what the brand imagines its future flagship smartphones could offer. Called the iQOO X, the concept device comes with a 240Hz 2K+ display, a massive 15,000mAh solid-state battery, 200MP cameras and several other futuristic specifications.
Read more about it below.
iQOO X Concept Smartphone – Specs and Features
According to the details shared from the internal showcase, the iQOO X is equipped with what is being referred to as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro flagship platform, paired with iQOO’s self-developed QX gaming chip. Now, one important thing to note here is that Qualcomm itself has not announced any chipset carrying this name, and the processor is part of the futuristic concept presented with the device.
For cooling, the concept smartphone is shown with an Ice Crystal superconducting heat-dissipation matrix, while a Tianqiong satellite gaming network has also been mentioned among its gaming-related features.

Coming to the display, the iQOO X concept features a massive 7-inch flat panel with a 2K+ resolution and support for up to a 240Hz refresh rate. The screen is said to make use of Samsung’s M16 luminescent material and LTPO 6.0 technology, while it has been optimised for horizontal gaming usage.
Another interesting feature is AI dynamic partition refresh technology. Rather than refreshing the entire display at the same rate, different portions of the screen can operate at different refresh rates depending on the content being displayed. For instance, a video and the comments section beside it could refresh independently.

The display is also shown with up to a 4,800Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, while the comment area can reportedly support up to a 240Hz dynamic refresh rate. A half-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is another futuristic feature showcased on the device.
Speaking of the cameras, the concept puts a major focus on imaging as well. Information shared from the showcase points towards a 200MP main camera along with another 200MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Samsung’s upcoming 200MP HPC sensor technology is also highlighted among the imaging technologies associated with the concept.
However, there appears to be some conflicting information surrounding the exact camera sensors. One report mentions a 200MP Sony main sensor paired with a 200MP Samsung periscope camera and 50MP Samsung ultra-wide camera, so the exact sensor configuration shown across the concept material isn’t entirely clear yet.
Now comes probably the craziest specification of this concept smartphone – its battery. The iQOO X is shown with a massive 15,000mAh all-solid-state “Blue Ice” battery, which is far beyond what we currently see on commercially available flagship smartphones.
As mentioned above, this is a concept device aimed at showcasing what future iQOO flagships could potentially offer rather than a smartphone that is currently ready to enter mass production.
Memory Variants and Concept Pricing
Interestingly, pricing was also shown for different memory variants of the iQOO X concept.
- 12GB + 512GB: CNY 6,999
- 16GB + 512GB: CNY 7,399
- 16GB + 1TB: CNY 7,799
- 24GB + 1TB: CNY 8,599
The device was reportedly showcased in Black and White colour options as well.

However, since this is a concept smartphone, these prices should not be taken as actual retail pricing or an indication that the device will soon go on sale. The use of a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro name itself makes it quite clear that iQOO is looking several generations ahead with this concept.
For now, there is no information suggesting that the iQOO X will be commercially launched, but it certainly gives us an interesting look at the kind of display, battery, gaming and imaging technologies the brand is imagining for its future flagship smartphones.
Stay tuned for more updates!
