Vivo X Fold 6’s Alleged Battery Gets 3C Certification, Revealed to Be Larger Than X Fold 5; New Mysterious Battery Also Spotted
Vivo’s X Fold 5 was launched back in June 2025 in the Chinese market, and now it seems that its successor could also be arriving soon. The alleged battery of the Vivo X Fold 6 has now appeared on the 3C certification database, and along with it, one more mysterious Vivo battery has also been spotted.
Here’s more about it.
Vivo X Fold 6 – 3C Certification
As per the 3C certification database, two new battery models have been certified with the model numbers of “BB88” and “BB89”, and these are said to be associated with the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 foldable smartphone. The former is listed with a 2807 mAh rated capacity, whereas the latter has been revealed with a 3863 mAh rated battery capacity. To note, the certification database does not directly link these two battery models with the Vivo X Fold 6, however, tipster Experience More has hinted that they could belong to the upcoming foldable device.
This suggests that the Vivo X Fold 6 may possibly be packing a dual-cell battery setup of 2807 mAh + 3863 mAh, offering a total rated battery capacity of 6670 mAh. Speaking more, the device could further be offered with a typical battery capacity of around 6900 mAh.
If we look into what was offered on its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 5 had arrived with a 6000 mAh typical battery, and based on the new details that have been revealed, the upcoming X Fold 6 could be getting an upgrade this time in terms of its battery capacity. Just to add, the Vivo X Fold 5 was launched in India just one month after its China launch, and based on this, we may also expect the same to happen with the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 as well.
As mentioned above, a mysterious Vivo battery has also been spotted alongside it, carrying the model number of “BC08”. This battery has been listed with a rated capacity of 8905 mAh, which could possibly be offered with a typical battery capacity of around 9100 mAh. At the time of writing this article, it is currently unknown which Vivo smartphone will be using this battery.
