The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo yesterday officially unveiled its much-awaited foldable device- Vivo X Fold 5 in its home country China. The device boosts features like a 6000mAh blue ocean battery, 20762mm2 VC+ graphite dissipation, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and more.
Vivo X Fold 5: Specifications
The smartphone features an 8.0-inch AMOLED 8T LTPO inner display that offers 2K+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits brightness. It sports a 6.53-inch AMOLED LTPO cover display that offers FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits brightness. The device is powered by Snapdragon 8 en 3 SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.
The device packs up a 50MP SonyIMX921 main camera, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera on the rear side while it features a 20MP selfie camera on the outside and inside. It is backed by a 6000mAh Blue Ocean battery and supports 80W fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
This is the first Android phone that can connect to the Apple Watch, answer calls, view messages, and even synchronize health data to the Vivo health app. It also supports connectivity with AirPods. With Vivo X Fold 5, you can also access Mac in file management, while the device can be used as an extended screen for Mac. It can support the flow of iPhone calls, messages, and notifications, which can be handled without switching devices. While iPhone can be directly connected to the Vivo X Fold 5’s hotspot.

It comes in Green Pine, White and Titanium color options. The pre-order has started in China and the sale will start on 2nd July.
