Tipster reveals OnePlus 16R specs online and says that it would launch as a Realme device as well; First look surfaces online, likely the Realme-branded device

Yesterday, OnePlus officially introduced its latest flagship OnePlus 16 smartphone in its home country, China. While the Indian launch of this device is still dicey, the company is expected to soon unveil the OnePlus 16R smartphone in the country.

Ahead of this rumoured launch, new details related to the OnePlus 16R smartphone have been revealed online.

OnePlus 16R: Specs tipped

Yesterday, tipster @heyitsyogesh exclusively shared the PVT-stage specs of the OnePlus 16R. The device is said to arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a triple 50MP camera setup with a telephoto sensor included. It is tipped to feature a 165Hz panel and backed by a 7500 mAh+ battery.

He also mentioned that this same device is being tested under Realme branding.

Another tipster, @Gadgetsdata, has today shared complete details about the upcoming Realme phone, which has very similar specs to the OnePlus 16R, and he also revealed the first look of the device.

Upcoming Realme phone: Details revealed

The device is tipped to arrive with a 200MP main camera and a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera. This smartphone does not include the triple 50MP rear camera system, as revealed in the images below.

The camera details suggest that the first look shared of the rear panel of this upcoming device could be the upcoming Realme device (whose moniker is not known yet). The camera module design is also similar to the Realme 16 Pro+ smartphone. The tipster has mentioned he isn’t sure that the first look shared is for the flagship Realme phone or the OnePlus 16R in India.

Further, it is revealed that the selfie camera in the upcoming Realme device supports 4K 60fps video recording. It features a metal frame, flat glass back, an in-built cooling fan and RGB circular light. The device is said to come with a 1.5K 185Hz flat OLED display (system runs at 165Hz, some games at 185Hz), a Qualcomm 8 series processor (supports BGMI at 120fps and COD at 165fps) and an 8700 mAh typical battery capacity.

The readers are advised to wait for an official confirmation from either of the brands and treat the above information mentioned by both tipsters with a pinch of salt.
