Sony ‘YY2986’ Earbuds Certified by AUDIX and SDPPI Authorities; Live Images Revealed in Different Colors

Sony’s upcoming TWS earbuds bearing the model number – ‘YY2986’, followed by multiple certifications and listings, has now received certifications from the AUDIX and SDPPI certification authorities. Also, the live images of the device in different colors have also been revealed.

Sony ‘YY2986’ – AUDIX and SDPPI Certifications

The Sony ‘YY2986’ earbuds has received the AUDIX certification and has been listed on the database as a wireless noise-cancelling stereo headset. Its working frequency is ‘2402~2480 MHz (FHSS BR/EDR-79CH, GFSK BLE-40CH)’, with transmission power (electric field strength) of 8.74 dBm and 8.65 dBm respectively on the left and right earphones. The antenna gain strength on the left and right earphones are also -3.57 dBi and -3.55 dBi respectively.

Via the certification database, it has also been revealed that the earbuds consist of 70mAh (3.85 Vdc) battery each, whereas the charging case packs a 500 mAh battery (3.85 Vdc). It has also been mentioned that a USB type-C cable (Type A to Type C), with the model number – ‘DLC-SON005BK’ would also be provided with a length of 0.2 meters. The earbuds would be offered in four color choices – Black, Blue (Transparent), White, and Pink colors.

It has made it to the Indonesian SDPPI certification database with the certification number – ‘105349/SDPPI/2024’ and PLG ID – ‘2034’, and has been categorized as a ‘Wireless Noise Cancelling Stereo Headset’ itself. The device is also pointed out to be manufactured in Vietnam.

Speaking more, previously this Sony earbuds device had made it to several other certification databases, such as Japan Import Filing, USA’s FCC certification, UAE’s TDRA certification, Korean Radio Research Agency certification, and Canadian Radio Equipment List certification. To add, the FCC listing revealed that it will support a Bluetooth connectivity version of 5.2, as well as Bluetooth LE at 2 Mbps.

From what it seems, from all the listings and certifications, the Sony ‘YY2986’ is possibly expected to be the successor of the WF-C700N – the WF-C710N.

Coming to the design, both the earbuds and charging case appear more or less similar to the WF-C700N model, however, the charging case is not longer as before and its height has increased. The LED indicator is at the front of the charging case, while the connectivity button and USB type-C charging port is at the rear.

The live images of the Sony ‘YY2986’ earbuds are also featured in the mentioned Black, Blue (Transparent), White, and Pink colors.
