Sony Xperia 10 VIII – IMDA Certification
On Singapore’s IMDA certification database, a Sony smartphone which carries the model number of ‘XQ-GH74’ and the type reference ‘PM-1535-BV’ has been listed with the marketing name ‘Xperia 10 VIII’.
The device has been categorized as a ‘5G mobile phone’ under the ‘Mobile Terminals’ product category, while its certification listing confirms support for both Nano-SIM and eSIM connectivity.

Speaking more, Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is mentioned as the registered company. The IMDA certification confirms that the ‘XQ-GH74’ model belongs to the Sony Xperia 10 VIII, while its appearance on the Singaporean regulatory platform suggests that the smartphone will be made available in the country.
As mentioned above, Sony has officially scheduled its next Xperia product announcement for the 25th of August 2026 at 11:00 AM JST. Although the brand has not yet confirmed the moniker, the timing of this certification appearance further indicates that the upcoming device could indeed be the Xperia 10 VIII.
Looking into a previous update, another regional variant of the Sony Xperia 10 VIII carrying the model number ‘XQ-GH54’ had appeared on the Geekbench database. It was listed with the Qualcomm ‘SM6475’ motherboard, which is associated with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.
The test device operated on the Android 16 operating system and had 7.27GB of memory, suggesting an 8GB RAM configuration. It achieved 871 points in the single-core test and 3,028 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench 7.
Coming to its design, an alleged marketing image shared by Android Headlines reveals the smartphone with a flat rear panel and a horizontally placed pill-shaped camera module. The camera module houses two rear camera sensors and an LED flash, while the Sony branding is also placed within the camera area.
The colour variant shown in the leaked marketing material appears to feature a white finish with a subtle green tint. The volume buttons and power button can also be seen on the right-side frame, with the power button expected to double as a fingerprint sensor.
