Last year in September, Sony unveiled its Xperia 10 VII smartphone in the global markets, and it appears that the brand is all set to introduce the successor to this device to the market, that too a month earlier.
New Xperia phone launch scheduled for next week
Sony has officially announced that its Xperia New Product Announcement is scheduled for 25th August at 11:00 (Japan time)/ 04:00 CEST. The announcement will be made on Sony Xperia’s YouTube channel.

The moniker of the upcoming device has not been revealed, but if reports are to be believed, Sony is expected to launch the new Xperia 10 VIII smartphone.
Recently, a Sony device with model number XQ-GH54 has been spotted on the Geekbench database. The database does not reveal the name of the device, but a previous IMEI listing suggests that the model number belongs to the Xperia 10 VIII.

The device received an 871 single-core score and a 3028 multi-core score. The database revealed that the device comes with the SM6475 processor, which is the internal codename for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. This is the same chipset that powers the Xperia 10 VII.
Other than this, details like Android 16 OS and an 8GB RAM variant were also revealed.
