These include the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (‘EB-BF976DAY’, ‘EB-BF976DAE’), Galaxy Z Flip 8 (‘EB-BF776BAE’, ‘EB-BF776BAY’), and the Galaxy Z Wide Fold (‘EB-BF971DAE’, ‘EB-BF971DAY’) smartphones. Also, additional battery model numbers (‘EB-BF972DAE’, ‘EB-BF972DAY’, ‘EB-BF977DAE’, and ‘EB-BF977DAY’) were listed as well, however the exact devices that they belong to are currently unknown.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Additional Battery Model Numbers – UL Solutions and TUV Certification
About the Galaxy Z Fold 8 smartphone’s battery listings, the battery model numbers of ‘EB-BF976DAY’ and ‘EB-BF976DAE’ have been certified on the UL Solutions certification platform with the certification number of ‘DK-176826-UL’. As per the certification listing, both the batteries were certified on the 11th of February 2026, and they are revealed to carry a rated capacity of 2369mAh each. When combined, this confirms a total capacity of 4738mAh, which is expected to be marketed as a 5000mAh battery.
Also to add, the UL Solutions certification listing mentions EU, KR (South Korea), and GB (Great Britain) region codes, confirming its compatibility for these markets.
Additionally, the same battery model numbers have also been certified by the TUV Rheinland authority with the certification number of ‘JPTUV-185773’, and this listing is dated the 8th of April 2026. It confirms the same 2369mAh rated capacity, while also revealing a 2440mAh typical capacity for each battery. When combined, this results in a total typical capacity of 4880mAh. The TUV Rheinland certification listing also mentions region codes for South Korea and Saudi Arabia, confirming its compatibility for these regions as well.
Apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 8 batteries, two additional battery model numbers of ‘EB-BF972DAE’ and ‘EB-BF972DAY’ have also received the TUV Rheinland certification with the certification number of ‘JPTUV-185693’. As per this listing, these batteries carry a rated capacity of 2393mAh and a typical capacity of 2465mAh. When combined, this results in a total typical capacity of 4930mAh.
