Galaxy Z Fold 8 - Feature

Last month, the South Korean tech giant Samsung introduced its latest foldable devices. This year, there was a new addition to the foldable devices: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in a new form factor, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 were also introduced.

Well, the wide form factor of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is attracting a lot of consumer attention, and with its recent popularity, it is now reported that Samsung may introduce a new wide-fold device next year.

According to a report by ETNews, Samsung Electronics is planning to release an additional ‘Wide Fold’ model next year. It is reported that the Wide Fold is a foldable form factor where the width is longer than the height when unfolded.

It is said that this decision is attributed to the demand for wide models seen with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Citing industry sources, the report reveals that the company has launched development projects for two wide foldable phones as part of next year’s Galaxy Z Fold 9 series and has shared this information with its partners.

Though the specifications are not known as of yet, it is rumoured that the plan is likely to create a screen aspect ratio optimised for video viewing, rather than the 4:3 aspect ratio released this year.

Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is leading the success of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, accounting for 70% of domestic pre-orders. Fueled by this positive response, Samsung seems to be heading towards a new wide foldable device.

Samsung is said to be preparing to launch a total of 5 foldable devices next year, including three models released this year, the Tri-Fold and another Wide Fold.

Since it is too early for the launch of the next Galaxy foldable devices, it’s better to wait for more details regarding the above information.
