Last month, Redmi introduced its Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G smartphones in the Chinese market, while the brand has recently announced that the Redmi Note 17 5G model will launch in India on 6th August.
The Redmi Note 17 series models were also rumoured to make their way into the global markets, but no official announcement has been made yet. Yesterday, tipster @Sudhanshu1414 shared the full spec sheet and colour options of the Redmi Note 17 series (global variants).

Redmi Note 17 5G
The Redmi Note 17 5G model comes in Celestial Purple, Sky Teal and Black colours. The Purple variant features a patterned design on the rear panel, while the other two feature a plain back.
The device arrives with a 6.99-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ screen resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, 1200 nits HBM, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 960Hz PWM Dimming. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and comes with TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and TUV Rheinland Circadian Friendly certification.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC. The smartphone offers up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and is said to receive 6 years of security updates. The device is backed by a 7700mAh battery and supports 45W Turbo charging. AI features include: Google Gemini, Circle to Search with Google, AI Creativity Assistant and more. It measures 169.70 x 79.14 x 8.45mm and weighs 225g. The Redmi Note 17 5G packs a 50MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera.

Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G
It comes in Black, Sky Blue, Satin Orange and Purple colours. The Orange and Blue variants feature a patterned design on the rear panel.
The smartphone features a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K screen resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 3500 nits peak brightness, 2000 nits HBM, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and it comes with TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly and Flicker Free certifications.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage (UFS 2.2 for 128GB). It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3. The device packs a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the rear side, while there is a 16MP selfie camera. It is backed by an 8340mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 67W HyperCharge.
