Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has already unveiled the Redmi Note 17 5G in China, and the company has recently teased its launch in India as well.
It was earlier tipped that the device would launch in India on 6th August, and the shared information turned out to be true.
Redmi Note 17 5G: India launch confirmed
Today, Redmi has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 5G smartphone will launch in India on 6th August at 12 PM.
The wait ends with a new standard.

The microsite for this device has already been made live on mi.com and Amazon. The device is confirmed to have an 8,000 mAh battery (just like the Chinese variant) and is called the ‘mAhster edition’. It comes in two colour options: Green and Purple. The smartphone will feature a TrueColor AMOLED display.
In the coming days, Redmi is expected to tease some more details of this upcoming device. Previous reports suggested that the Indian and Chinese variants of the Redmi Note 17 5G could have a similar spec sheet. And the revealed battery capacity of the Redmi Note 17 5G Indian variant also hints towards the same.
In related news, POCO M8 Power 5G is rumoured to arrive as the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17 5G model. Yesterday, it was announced that the POCO M8 Power 5G will be unveiled in India on 4th August.
