Rumours surrounding the India launch of the upcoming Redmi Note 17 5G have now received some confirmation, as Xiaomi has released its first teaser and also made dedicated microsites live on Xiaomi India and Amazon India.

Redmi Note 17 5G India Launch Teased; Xiaomi and Amazon Microsites Go Live
Starting with the Xiaomi India microsite, the teaser carries the tagline, “Your longest days just met their match,” along with the text, “The all-new Note – Coming Soon.” While the microsite does not reveal the exact moniker of the upcoming device, the tagline hints that this next Note series smartphone will likely carry a bigger battery.
Although the same teaser banner has been listed on Amazon India, things are slightly different on the Amazon India microsite, as the text displayed on the left side mentions “Redmi Note 17 2026 launch.” This suggests that the newly released teaser is likely for the rumoured Redmi Note 17 5G smartphone.
At this time, neither of the microsites reveals any specifications of the upcoming device. However, previous rumours have suggested that the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 17 5G could arrive with a similar specification sheet as its Chinese counterpart.
A recent tip also claimed that the Indian variant will feature the same 8,000mAh battery as the Chinese model, whereas the global variant is expected to arrive with a slightly smaller 7,700mAh battery.
Currently, Xiaomi has not officially announced the launch date; however, an earlier tip from tipster Abhishek Yadav suggests that the Redmi Note 17 5G will launch in India on August 6th, 2026 with the first open sale to begin on August 11th, 2026.
In related news, the POCO M8 Power 5G, which is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17 5G, has also received a dedicated microsite on Flipkart. However, its exact launch date is yet to be officially confirmed.
With the official teaser now released, Xiaomi is expected to reveal more details about the upcoming Redmi Note device in the coming days.
