Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to unveil its next Note 17 series smartphones in its home market in China on the 14th of July 2026. Over the past few days, the brand has also been teasing the key specifications and features of the upcoming devices. Now, tipster Experience More has shared the expected specifications of both the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro smartphones via his official Weibo account.

Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro – Specifications Tipped
As per the tipster, the vanilla Redmi Note 17 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, and could feature a 7-inch Samsung E4 Pro display with a 1080p resolution and a brightness level ranging between 1200 nits and 1800 nits.
The device is also tipped to pack an 8000mAh battery supporting 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. To note, the 7-inch display, 8000mAh battery, 45W wired charging, and 22.5W reverse charging support have already been confirmed earlier by the brand through its official teasers.
Regarding the other specifications, the Redmi Note 17 smartphone is said to sport a 50MP main camera, a short-focus optical fingerprint sensor, an IP65-rated body, and a plastic middle frame.
Coming to the Redmi Note 17 Pro smartphone, the tipster claims that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, and will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K flagship-level flat display with up to 3500 nits of brightness.
A larger 9000mAh battery is also said to be built into the device, along with support for 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. These display, battery, and charging-related specifications have already been confirmed earlier by the brand.
Furthermore, the Redmi Note 17 Pro smartphone is tipped to arrive with a 50MP main camera, a short-focus optical fingerprint sensor, a plastic middle frame, and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. The mentioned water and dust resistance ratings have also been officially confirmed by Redmi through its previous teasers.
Other than the above-mentioned specifications, the brand has also confirmed several additional details about the upcoming Redmi Note 17 series smartphones.
As confirmed earlier, this smartphone is going to be available in Green and Meteor Purple colour options, and the Meteor Purple variant will feature a shooting star-like pattern on its rear panel. Its OLED display will support a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1200 nits of global brightness, and Xiaomi’s Green Mountain Eye Protection technology.
It will also support health data sharing, album sharing, and location sharing features.
Moving on to the Pro variant, Redmi will be offering a free five-year battery upgrade guarantee with the Redmi Note 17 Pro during its first sale. Under this benefit, users will be eligible for a free battery replacement within the first four years if the battery health falls below 80%. During the fifth year, users will be provided with a free large-battery upgrade if the battery health falls below the mentioned level.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro smartphone’s 1.5K flat display will also use flagship-grade luminescent materials, support the Super Sunlight display mode with up to 3500 nits of brightness, and offer low-light eye protection with brightness levels going as low as 1 nit.
The upcoming Pro model is further claimed to offer five years of smooth performance optimization, aided by real-time dynamic performance adjustment and multiple memory management technologies. AI-based anti-fraud and anti-deepfake protection features will also be present on the device.
Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, SGS and CQC Gold Label dual five-star drop resistance certifications, IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and TÜV SÜD 2-metre 72-hour waterproof certification are some of itss addiitonal detail confimed by the brand.
