Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO has already started teasing two new X-series smartphones for the Indian market. While the company has not officially revealed their monikers, rumours suggest that these devices could be the POCO X8 5G and POCO X8 Power 5G. Now, we at The Tech Outlook have spotted the global variant of the POCO X8 5G on the UAE’s TDRA certification database. Alongside it, an upcoming Motorola-branded smartwatch has also appeared on the same certification platform.

POCO X8 5G and Motorola Smartwatch – TDRA Certifications
Starting with the POCO smartphone, the POCO X8 carrying the model number ‘2607DPC18G’ has been listed on the TDRA certification database under the product category of ‘Mobile Phone’. Its equipment registration number is mentioned to be ‘ER63931/26’.
Both its application and equipment registration statuses are listed as ‘Active’. The certification was issued on the 23rd of August 2026 and will remain valid until the 22nd of August 2029. Xiaomi Communications Co., Ltd. is mentioned as the registered organisation.
The ‘G’ at the end of the ‘2607DPC18G’ model number confirms that this is the global variant of the POCO X8. Looking into a previous update, the same model had also appeared on the NBTC and IMEI databases, which confirmed its POCO X8 moniker and 5G network connectivity. Its IMDA certification additionally revealed Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC support.
Speaking of India, POCO recently started teasing two new X-series smartphones. While the exact identities of these devices are still under wraps, an earlier tip claimed that the POCO X8 5G and POCO X8 Power 5G would be launching in India in early September 2026.
Coming to the smartwatch, an upcoming device carrying the model number ‘XT2649-1’ has been listed on the TDRA database under the product category of ‘Short-Range/Low-Power Device’. Its marketing name is simply mentioned as ‘Smart Watch’, while Lenovo (Shanghai) Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. is listed as the registered organisation.
The smartwatch has received the equipment registration number ‘ER63929/26’, and both its application and equipment registration statuses are mentioned to be ‘Active’. Its certification was also issued on the 23rd of August 2026 and will remain valid until the 22nd of August 2029.
While TDRA does not reveal the final moniker or Motorola branding of the smartwatch, an earlier import record associated the same ‘XT2649-1’ model number with a Motorola-branded non-functional smartwatch sample. This suggests that the device could eventually be introduced under Motorola’s smartwatch portfolio.
The TDRA listings do not reveal any further specifications of the POCO X8 5G or the upcoming Motorola smartwatch. However, with future certifications and official updates, we’ll be able to learn more about their launch timelines and other details.
