OPPO Reno 16 5G Global Launch Seems Near as Vanilla Model (CPH2865) Clears Indonesia’s SDPPI Certification

The Chinese smartphone maker – OPPO had recently released its OPPO Reno 16 5G series in its home market in China, and along with the smartphones, the brand had also introduced its first secondary screen accessory called the OPPO Bubble. The global launch of the Reno 16 5G series was previously hinted as the devices had made their appearance on several global certification databases, and now, the vanilla OPPO Reno 16 5G has been spotted on the SDPPI certification database, confirming its launch in the Indonesian market.

OPPO Reno 16 5G – SDPPI Certification

As mentioned, the OPPO Reno 16 5G has now received the SDPPI certification with the model number of ‘CPH2865’, and the device has been listed on the certification database with the certificate number of ‘122251/DJID/2026’. The approval date is mentioned as the 26th of May 2026, and the PLG ID of ‘6813’ has also been used for the device. While normally the certification listing reveals the device’s moniker, under the marketing name, it has only been listed as ‘OPPO CPH2865’. So, no moniker or any key specs have been detailed via this SDPPI certification, but the same model number had previously appeared on several global certification databases, which had revealed a lot about the device.

Speaking more, the OPPO Reno 16 5G with the same CPH2865 model number has already been spotted multiple times earlier on different certification databases. From the TUV certification, it was revealed that the global variant will offer 80W wired fast charging support, while the TDRA certification revealed its actual moniker. The BIS certification had also confirmed the India launch of the smartphone. Furthermore, via the GCF database, connectivity options such as GSM 850/900/1800/1900 bands, WCDMA I/II/V/VIII bands, LTE FDD bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/26/28/32, LTE TDD bands 38/39/40/41/42/43/48, and 5G NR bands n1/n2/n3/n5/n7/n8/n12/n20/n26/n28/n38/n40/n41/n48/n66/n77/n78/n83 were revealed. EDGE Class 33, HSDPA Category 24, and EUL Category 6 were also mentioned.

Just to add, the NBD import and export database had also revealed that the handset will be featuring a 6.57″ display, and a 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage option was also pointed out. Apart from these revealed details, nothing more has been mentioned about the global variant through the certification listings.

Rest, it is expected that this global variant may come with the same set of specifications as that of the Chinese variant. However, this can only be confirmed once its launch is officially announced for the global markets. In the meantime, you may check out the specs of the Chinese variant below.
