OPPO Pad 5 Pro recently broke cover in the Chinese market, and now it appears that the brand could be working on introducing the tablet in India as well. A new OPPO tablet has now been spotted on the Indian BIS certification database, which is claimed to be the Indian variant of the OPPO Pad 5 Pro.

OPPO Pad 5 Pro Indian Variant Likely Spotted on BIS
According to the Indian BIS certification database, a new OPPO device carrying the model number “OPD2516” has been listed with the registration number “R-93038296”. The listing further shows its date of grant/inclusion as July 29th 2026.
However, nowhere on the certification listing is the exact moniker of the device mentioned. Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claims that this model number belongs to the Indian variant of the recently launched OPPO Pad 5 Pro.

Notably, the Chinese variant of the OPPO Pad 5 Pro carries a different model number of “OPD2511”, which is also mentioned on OPPO’s official China listing.
Furthermore, the tipster has also shared some of the specifications expected for the Indian variant, which largely match those of the OPPO Pad 5 Pro already available in China.
The tablet is expected to feature a 13.2-inch LCD display with a 3392 × 2400 pixel resolution and support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. These specifications are also confirmed for the Chinese model through OPPO’s official listing.
Speaking of its cameras, the OPPO Pad 5 Pro features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is backed by a massive 13,380mAh typical battery with support for up to 67W fast charging. The tablet also features an aluminium frame and an eight-speaker audio setup.
As mentioned, the BIS listing itself does not reveal the marketing name of the OPD2516 model, so its identification as the Indian OPPO Pad 5 Pro remains based on the tipster’s claim for now.
Other than this, the launch timeline of the tablet in India is still under wraps. However, now that a new OPPO tablet has appeared on the Indian BIS certification database, we can expect more details regarding it to be revealed in the coming days.
