OPPO is soon going to unveil its upcoming Reno 16 5G series smartphones in the Indian market, and ahead of its official launch date announcement, a new leak has now revealed a few key details regarding what Indian customers can expect from this upcoming smartphone series. Previously, we had covered the news regarding the pre-reserve page going live on Amazon India, along with the privilege pack that was introduced by the brand for the Reno 16 5G series, and now, the retail unit images of the two upcoming smartphones have leaked online revealing their key specifications and pricing details.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared these new details on the X/Twitter platform, revealing the models that will likely be arriving first in the Indian market under the Reno 16 5G series. Read more about it below.
Based on what has been revealed in his X/Twitter post, tipster Abhishek Yadav states that the upcoming OPPO Reno 16 5G series will include two smartphone models for now, namely the OPPO Reno 16 5G and the OPPO Reno 16C 5G. This is also in line with what was previously hinted, as both these models were already expected to arrive in the Indian market first.
About the rumored Pro variant, previous reports have hinted that it will be launched at a later date, however, an exact launch timeline regarding the same is still a mystery. If we look at the earlier rumors, a fourth model which was said to be the Reno 16 Pro Mini was also mentioned previously, but as per this new leak, there is no mention of this particular device now.
Speaking more about the Reno 16 5G, the smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and could pack a 6700mAh silicon-carbon battery. The device is also revealed to feature a 16.05cm display, which is about 6.32-inch in size, and will likely be offered with 8GB RAM, 8GB virtual RAM, and 256GB internal storage.
On the camera side, the OPPO Reno 16 5G is pointed out to have triple 50MP cameras at the rear, along with a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies. Its model number has been revealed as CPH2865 and the device is said to be running on the CPH2865_16.0.7.203(EX01) software version. CPU Vitalisation for better performance is also mentioned, and the smartphone is tipped to carry a price tag of INR 59,999.
Coming to the Reno 16C 5G, this model is said to arrive with the Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, and interestingly, it is tipped to pack a larger 7000mAh battery when compared to the Reno 16 5G. It is also revealed to feature a larger 16.69cm display, which is about 6.57-inch in size, and will likely come with the same 8GB RAM, 8GB virtual RAM, and 256GB storage option.
For photography, the Reno 16C 5G is said to feature a 50MP + 50MP + 8MP triple rear camera setup, while at the front, a 50MP selfie camera is also expected. The device has been listed with the model number CPH2859 and is said to be running on the CPH2859_16.0.7.208(EX01) software version. CPU Vitalisation is also mentioned for this device, and as per the leak, it could be priced at INR 49,999.
Speaking more, apart from the Reno 16 5G series smartphones, OPPO is also expected to unveil the OPPO Bubble and OPPO Enco Air 5 earbuds in the Indian market. The Enco Air 5, as is already known from the naming, will likely sit below the already available OPPO Enco Air 5 Pro.
