A New Nothing Device Appears on BIS Certification
Spotted first by tipster Sanju Choudhary, the BIS certification listing reveals the model number “A009P” carrying the brand name “Nothing”. Additionally, the “P” suffix present at the end of the model number could possibly point towards a “Pro/Plus” variant, similar to how the brand has previously introduced devices under the Phone (Xa) lineup.
Furthermore, the listing also reveals the grant/inclusion date as May 11th 2026. Other than this, the certification currently does not reveal any hardware specifications or even confirm the official moniker of the upcoming device.

Prior to this, the same device model number had also appeared on the IMEI database alongside another model number “A0009”, however, that listing too did not reveal the official moniker.
Speaking more about the model numbers, similar to how Nothing’s internal model numbers are believed to be based on Pokédex Pokémon references, the “A0009” and “A009P” identifiers are said to point towards Blastoise and Mega Blastoise respectively, which are water-type Pokémon characters. Because of this, there is speculation that the upcoming devices could possibly feature some form of water resistance or waterproofing capability as well.
At the moment, neither the specifications nor the monikers of the upcoming devices are known. However, in the coming weeks, the devices could likely appear on benchmarking platforms such as Geekbench, which may reveal additional hardware-related details.
Stay tuned for more updates.
