Following its launch in the Chinese market, the iQOO 16 smartphone was confirmed to arrive in India by iQOO India head Nipun Marya at the IMC (Indian Mobile Congress) 2026, and a recent tip had pointed to a possible November launch. However, a new update has now suggested that Indian customers may have to wait until December.

iQOO 16 – New India Launch Timeline Tipped
As per the newly-shared details from tipster Abhishek Yadav, citing his own sources, the iQOO 16 smartphone is now tipped to launch in India between the 15th and 17th of December 2026. To note, the brand has already confirmed its India launch and chipset, but an exact launch date has not yet been announced.
Speaking more, if this December timeline turns out to be accurate, Motorola’s Signature 27 smartphone could arrive in the Indian market ahead of the iQOO 16. The Motorola India microsite for this device is already live, and its ‘See you in November’ message points towards a launch next month.
The Motorola Signature 27 also comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip and therefore may become the first smartphone in India to feature this chipset. However, this remains to be seen as their launch schedules become clearer.
Since neither of the launch timelines have been confirmed by the brand, it should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt.
