Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max Thickness Revealed Via Tipster; iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Air Tipped to Feature Same Length, Width, Screen Size, & Bezels

By now, we have come across multiple updates concerning the upcoming iPhone 17 series and its expected smartphone models. Following these updates, via a new update from a tipster, the thickness of the next iPhone 17 Pro Max device has been revealed. The same source also revealed its length, width, screen size, and bezels.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max – Thickness, Length, Width, Screen Size, and Bezels Revealed

This update comes from the tipster Ice Universe and as per his X post, the iPhone 17 Pro Max model will possibly be featuring a thicker body when compared to its predecessor (iPhone 16 Pro Max – 8.3 mm thickness), and it is pointed out to be 8.725 mm. This is about 0.4 mm thicker than the previous model.

A schematic diagram of the iPhone 17 Pro Max device has also been shared by the tipster, revealing design specs like the projected rear camera module placed at the top of the back panel, flat side panel with rounded corners, and action button and volume rockers at the left side panel.

Additionally, the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max model is also now tipped to feature the same length, width, screen size, and bezels of last year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. Moreover, this same length (163 mm), width (77.6 mm), screen size (6.9″), and bezel (1.36 mm) specs will also likely be shared by the iPhone 17 Air smartphone too, and the only difference will be its reduced thickness of 5.501 mm.

Speaking more, Apple’s iPhone 17 series is said to consist of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max models, and the CAD-based render images of all these devices were shared online late last month. Regarding the iPhone 17 Pro models, the two are revealed to sport a rectangular-shaped rear camera module (with rounded corners), housing three camera sensors (towards the left), along with an LED flash and added sensor (towards the right). A glass portion is also present on the two, for wireless charging, and the speaker, microphone, and USB type-C charging port are placed at the bottom.

Also, an update from a Chinese tipster suggested that the Pro models will still use the same rear cameras (48MP (1/1.3″ aperture) main camera + 48MP ultra-wide camera + 48MP (5x zoom) periscope telephoto camera), but may have an upgraded 24MP selfie camera.

As always, the tech world expects the Cupertino-based smartphone maker to unveil these latest flagship models this year in the month of September or October, 2025. More updates and rumors will still be shared in the coming days, which will be revealing more details about the upcoming devices.
