Today, Apple will be hosting its ‘Surprise and Shine’ event (10:30 PM IST). During this event, the company will introduce its latest iPhone 18 series models, while reports also suggest that Apple will finally unveil its first foldable device.
Just a few hours before the event, Mark Gurman shared that the upcoming Apple foldable device will be called iPhone Duo. It is said to arrive at a starting price of $2000. Storage capacities could reach up to 2TB and cost roughly $3000. It is said to have support for the Apple Pencil. The device may start shipping in October and is tipped to come in dark blue and white.
Apart from this, a poster image of iPhone Duo is also surfacing on the Weibo platform that showcases the device in a slightly folded state.
The official moniker, pricing and complete specs of Apple’s upcoming device are expected to be revealed today at the Apple event.
Every year, Apple used to introduce the standard and Pro variants together, but this time it is said that the company will not launch the entire lineup at this event. Reportedly, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first foldable will be introduced at the 9th September event, while the standard iPhone 18 model could launch next year (most probably in February 2027).
