Apple’s ‘Surprise and Shine’ event will be held on 9th September; iPhone 18 Pro models and Apple’s first foldable expected to be unveiled

After various rumours and reports related to the upcoming iPhone 18 series models, Apple has finally confirmed the launch date for its September event.

Apple’s SVP of Marketing, Greg Joswiak, announced yesterday that the company’s ‘Surprise and Shine’ event is set for 9th September.

The event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, and will begin at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST). The event will also be live-streamed on Apple’s YouTube channel, apple.com and on the Apple TV app.

It has not been announced which devices will be unveiled at this particular event. Still, the company is expected to introduce its flagship iPhone 18 series models and the long-awaited iPhone foldable. But there’s a catch!

Every year, Apple used to introduce the standard and Pro variants together, but this time it is said that the company will not launch the entire lineup at this event. Reportedly, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first foldable (rumoured to be called iPhone Ultra) will be introduced at the 9th September event, while the standard iPhone 18 model could launch next year (most probably in February 2027).

Along with the new iPhone models, the company may also introduce new Apple Watch series and AirPods at the event.

Recently, it was tipped that the old and new iPhone models will get a $100 price hike due to the rising memory costs in the market. The revised pricing of the existing iPhone models is also said to come into effect in September.
