Both Vivo and its sub-brand iQOO are expected to introduce their next flagship smartphones, the Vivo X500 and iQOO 16, soon in the Chinese market. We have already heard quite a lot about these two devices through several rumours and leaks, and now two devices believed to be the upcoming flagships have appeared on China’s 3C certification database, revealing their charging specifications.

Vivo X500 and iQOO 16 Charging Specs Revealed via 3C
Starting with the Vivo device carrying the model number “V2609A”, it has been listed on the 3C certification database and was tested with chargers carrying the model numbers “V9082L0A1-CN”, “V9082L0E1-CN”, and “V9082L0F0-CN”. These chargers support up to 90W fast charging, thereby suggesting that the upcoming device will also arrive with 90W wired fast charging support.
The certification itself only mentions the model number and does not reveal its marketing name. However, current rumours associate the V2609A with the upcoming Vivo X500 series. Previous leaks have also suggested that the Vivo X500 lineup will be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600-series chipset, which itself is yet to be officially announced.
Coming to the second device, a Vivo-branded smartphone carrying the model number “V2606A” has also appeared on the 3C certification database. This device was tested with chargers carrying the model numbers “V10091L1F0-CN” and “V10091L0E1-CN”, revealing support for up to 100W wired fast charging.
Again, the certification does not reveal the exact moniker of the device, though rumours currently associate this model with the upcoming iQOO 16 flagship smartphone. The iQOO 16 has also been tipped to arrive with Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
Speaking of their launch outside China, the Vivo X500 series is expected to eventually make its way to other markets, including India. However, things could be different for the iQOO 16 this time around.
Tipster Yogesh Brar had earlier claimed that the iQOO 16 may not launch in India due to rising memory and component costs. According to the earlier leak, increasing hardware costs could make it difficult for the brand to position the flagship competitively in the Indian market.
However, nothing regarding the India launch of either device has been officially confirmed by Vivo or iQOO yet. Both smartphones are first expected to break cover in China, following which we should get a clearer picture regarding their availability in other markets.
