Alleged Motorola G85 Spotted On FCC, Hi-Res Audio And IMEI Certification Websites; Key Details Revealed

Moto G85 smartphone has recently became the part of rumor mill and the device is said to make its debut soon. Last month the device was found listed on European Retailer Website while the design renders of the smartphone also surfaced online.

Today we have spotted a mysterious Motorola device with model number XT2427-1 on FCC database. Though the moniker is not revealed but it is assumed to be the upcoming Moto G85 smartphone.

The device will be arriving with connectivity options that include GSM/WCDMA/LTE/5G NR/ WLAN/ Bluetooth.

The smartphone will be arriving with NFC support while it also be supporting Wi-Fi 5 connectvity. Other than the FCC database, the smartphone also made its appearance on IMEI database which revealed that the device will be arriving with Malmo 24 market name.

Though Malmo 24 is quite strange to be a marketing name and Motorola has also never launched a device with such moniker. Recently Moto G85 5G was spotted on Geekbench which revealed that it will arrive with codename “Malmo”, hence this once again suggests that XT2427-1 model number could belong to Moto G85 5G.

Motorola XT2427-1 even bagged the Hi-Res audio certification and the website also revealed the other variants of the upcoming device XT2427-2, XT2427-3 and XT2427-4.

Moto G85 5G: Specifications (expected)

The Geekbench listing revealed that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 chipset and will run on Android 14 OS. It was revealed to offer 8GB RAM while the European Retailer Website revealed that the device may arrive with 12GB/256GB storage configuration that was revealed to be priced at €300.

It could feature a 6.67″ wide pOLED FHD+ resolution 120Hz curved display. In the camera department, the smartphone can feature a 50MP main camera on the rear with a 9MP camera. The front side of the smartphone can sport a 32MP selfie shooter. It is likely to be backed by the 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The device is revealed to arrive in Black and Green color options.
