POCO first introduced a ‘Power’ model under its M8 series, and now, it seems that the brand could be planning to bring a similar Power variant under its upcoming X8 series as well in India, if a new tip is to be believed. Allegedly called the POCO X8 Power, several of its key specifications have now been shared, along with a possible pricing detail and its alleged connection with the upcoming REDMI Note 17 Pro Max.

POCO X8 Power – Key Specifications Tipped
According to tipster Sanju Choudhary, the alleged POCO X8 Power is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming, while Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection is also said to be offered.
Under the hood, the upcoming smartphone is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, and it is said to arrive with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. However, the tipster has further suggested that the lower memory variant of the device could instead make use of UFS 2.2 storage.
Speaking more, for photography, the alleged POCO X8 Power is tipped to carry a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera at the rear, whereas a 32MP selfie camera is said to be present at the front.
One of the notable aspects of the upcoming device could be its battery, as the tipster claims that the POCO X8 Power will pack a massive 10,000mAh battery and will support 100W charging. Furthermore, despite featuring such a large battery, the device is said to measure 8.68mm in thickness, while IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance have also been tipped.

As for its software support, the upcoming POCO X8 Power is said to receive four Android OS upgrades as well as six years of software/security updates.
Interestingly, in the comments section of the same X post in which the tipster shared the POCO X8 Power specifications, a user asked whether the upcoming REDMI Note 17 Pro Max equals the POCO X8 Power, to which Sanju Choudhary replied ‘Yes indirectly’. This suggests that the two smartphones could be rebranded versions of each other.
The REDMI Note 17 series, including the Note 17 Pro Max, is confirmed to launch globally on 27th August, and a few of its specifications have also been confirmed. The 10,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support, 6.83″ display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, and IP68/IP69 rating, which have been confirmed for the Note 17 Pro Max, match the specifications tipped for the POCO X8 Power, further pointing towards a possible connection between the two devices.
Speaking of its possible pricing, another user in the comments section of the same post asked whether the POCO X8 Power would be priced under INR 30K, to which the tipster replied ‘Not under 30k’, hinting that the device could arrive with a price tag above INR 30,000.
As mentioned, the POCO X8 Power is still only rumored at the moment, and the brand is yet to officially confirm the existence of the device. Hence, the specifications shared by the tipster, its possible connection with the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max, as well as the suggested pricing should be taken with a pinch of salt for now.
