At 10:15 p.m. EST on Saturday, February 18, the unmanned Progress 82 cargo spacecraft managed to perform a deorbit burn over the Pacific Ocean after spending four months at the International Space Station.
At 9:26 p.m. Eastern Time on February 17, Progress 82, which was carrying waste, detached from the Poisk module of the space station. When the Progress spacecraft’s radiator portion was undocked, which is thought to be the location where a coolant leak occurred on February 11, the Progress deorbit was delayed by nearly 24 hours as Roscosmos engineers examined imagery.
