Vivo’s V3 Imaging Chipset Unveiled at the Brand’s Video Festival: 4K Portrait Video Capability

Vivo is currently conducting its Video Festival, which had started on the 23rd of July 2023 and to be conducted till the 31st of the same month and Jia Jingdong, the brand’s Vice President and also the General Manager of brand and product strategy, has introduced the V3 imaging chipset.

Vivo’s newly unveiled V3 imaging chipset is made to offer its smartphone users professional level imaging capabilities, uplifting the brand’s philosophy of “technology from the heart, images from the heart”.

Speaking about the V3 imaging chipset, it is built using the 6nm process technology and will offer improvements in algorithm effectiveness at the same time will also optimize the power consumption of the device. One of the main features of the chipset is its capability in capturing 4K cinematic portrait videos with high level quality and details. The 4K level post shoot editing functionality is also an important upgrade that will be brought to Vivo smartphones with the help of the latest imaging chipset. The brand is still yet to reveal more about the chipset’s capabilities and it is to be revealed at the ongoing event.

Vivo’s X100 series smartphones will be the first to feature this new chipset and the launch of the series is expected to take place this year itself. The series will include three smartphones as per what reports reveal – the Vivo X100, X100 Pro and the X100 Pro+ and in a later period we may see the launch of an X100s smartphone, just like the X90 series.
