Google’s 2026 I/O event is scheduled for 19-20 May, and the company is expected to announce the latest AI breakthroughs, Gemini updates and more in this particular event. Ahead of this event, the company has announced that this year’s Android Show I/O Edition will be held on 12th May at 10 AM PT.

The event will be livestreamed so that users can tune in to know about the latest announcements made during this event. The company has not revealed what announcements will be made during the Android Show, but it is expected that we may hear some information about the upcoming Android 17 version.
Meanwhile, some AI upgrades might also be showcased at the particular event. Reports suggest that hardware could also make an appearance. The company might also reveal some details about Aluminium OS (the merger of Android and ChromeOS).
